About

Meet Barbara

A clinician's mind and a craniosacral therapist's hands — thirty years of refining what it means to listen to the story of a body.

Barbara — Manual Osteopathic Practitioner and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist

Barbara's path into manual therapy began in physiotherapy — fourteen years of clinical practice that still anchors every session — but it has been profoundly shaped by the slower, more attentive worlds of biodynamic craniosacral therapy and manual osteopathy.

Her work centres on the nervous system: the place where pain, posture, trauma, and breath all converge. Clients often describe her presence as grounding — clinical without being clinical, intuitive without losing precision.

Whether she's working in-clinic on Pandosy Street or arriving with her mobile practice at your door, the intention is the same: to meet the body exactly where it is, and to invite it gently toward what's possible.

My story

Why this work found me

On February 22, 2011, an earthquake shook Christchurch to its foundations. Our home was deemed unsafe to live in, and six weeks later — still raw from those events — we packed what we could and moved across the world to Kelowna, where we began again.

It wasn't until I started my Body Intelligence training that I began to understand what the earthquake and its aftermath had left behind in my body. Slowly, I recognised that both my eldest daughter and I were living with PTSD.

What followed was a transformational journey I have never looked back from. I shifted out of the constant overwhelm, the racing mind, and the hyperactive nervous system — and learned, for the first time, what it actually feels like to drop into stillness and calm within myself.

Energy returned. So did joy, inner awareness, and a steadier sense of balance. Digestion eased, mood lifted, concentration sharpened, and a clearer sense of self quietly emerged — all unexpected gifts of receiving the work as I trained to offer it.

I love this work, and I love helping people connect to their own innate healing capacity — the place where body, mind, and soul begin to find each other again.
